Hill Research CEO Dr. Louise Liu has been named the 2026 Rising Star in Entrepreneurship by The Serica Initiative, recognizing her as one of the next generation of AAPI women leaders shaping entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, and nonprofit impact across America.

About the Award

The Rising Stars Awards recognize emerging AAPI leaders under 40 across three categories:

  • Entrepreneur: Dr. Louise Liu (Founder & CEO, Hill Research)
  • Corporate: Catherine C. (Founder & General Partner, Palm Drive Capital)
  • Non-Profit: Moonlynn Tsai & Yin Chang (Founders & Executive Directors, Heart of Dinner)

Selection is based on professional achievements, leadership qualities, social impact, and innovation. Honorees are connected to the Serica network of established leaders and mentors.

About The Serica Initiative

The Serica Initiative is a nonprofit advancing the Asian diaspora in America through storytelling, empowerment, and convening. The organization supports rising AAPI leaders through recognition, mentorship programs, and public storytelling initiatives across film and media.

The 2026 Power of Us Gala

The award will be presented at The Serica Initiative’s 2026 Power of Us Gala on April 30, 2026 at 583 Park Avenue in New York City. The evening celebrates AAPI leadership, excellence, and power, honoring both Rising Stars and five Trailblazer Honorees:

  • Steve Chen, Co-Founder of YouTube
  • Sonia Cheng, CEO of Rosewood Hotel Group
  • Dr. Alexis Chiang Colvin, Orthopedic Surgeon at Mount Sinai
  • Yasheng Huang, Professor at MIT Sloan
  • Kai Li, Professor of Computer Science at Princeton

Context for Hill Research

This recognition adds to a growing list of honors for Dr. Liu in the past year, including the Boston Business Journal’s 2025 40 Under 40 and the Witherspoon Gala 2025 International Business Leader Award. Under her leadership, Hill Research has advanced TriClick™ — its proprietary AI platform for clinical trial biostatistics — while publishing eight peer-reviewed papers at top venues in 2026, including ACL, SIGMETRICS, MLSys, AAAI, and JAMIA.

Dr. Liu trained as a biostatistician at Yale University and holds fellowship status with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
